Organotin
compounds with at least one tin-sulphur bond are generally called
organotin mercaptides or sulphur-containing tin stabilizers
or thiotins. Organotin compounds, which are derivatives of carbonoxylic
acids mainly maleic acid or semiesters of maelic acids are usually
known as organotin carboxylates, and the corresponding stabilizers
are called sulphur-free tin stabilizers.
