Manganese
is a very stable, active and strong oxidant auxiliary drier,
used alone or in combination with lead and cobalt drier. It
is used in exterior paints, floor finishes, baking enamels and
in paints where color is not a constraint. Manganese can reduce
the dosage of cobalt required because of its high reactivity.
This drier minimizes the wrinkling effect of the paint film.
