In
air drying paints problems may occur due to premature contact
with air. In the can this may lead to the formation of a surface
film. While this film will protect the bulk of the paint it will
lead to a poor final finish. In order to prevent this, MEKO is
added as an anti skinning agent. It decomposes and is lost after
application of the paint on the substrate.
